This spring, my husband and I became TSP for DSS for our 3 year-old grandson. At the time, we were enjoying our second year of empty-nesting. To start over at our ages was shocking! My husband kept saying our first goal was to get our grandson out of diapers before he went into them!
I looked it up in the Bible. In Genesis 21, it says that Abraham was 100 years old when Sarah gave him Isaac. So that means Abraham was 103 when Isaac was a toddler! This is reassurance to us that the Lord will provide patience, wisdom, and persistence to get through each trying day.
The Apostle Paul writes to believers for encouragement during times of struggle. He said the Lord comforted him, saying, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:8-10). We know whatever we have to do, the Lord will equip us for the job. Peace, my friends.
